According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo to MacRumors, the iPhone SE 2020's bigger brother would be delayed. Initially he wrote that the device would appear in the first half of 2021, now he expects a later date. The iPhone SE Plus would have an almost borderless screen and would therefore look very similar to the current iPhone 11. To save costs, Apple would not build in Face ID, but would incorporate a Touch ID fingerprint sensor in the side.
Delay for iPhone 12
Due to the corona crisis Kuo expects that the production of the iPhone 12 will be delayed. The iPhone 12 will be a device with a new design, the notch would become smaller and a 5G modem would be added. Because of the fact that the American engineers are unable or difficult to travel to Asia because of the corona virus to tackle and adjust test versions, a greater responsibility lies with local employees. This slows down the testing process.
It is expected that Apple will release the devices in phases, as they did earlier for the iPhone X and iPhone XR. In September, the models with a 6.1-inch screen and a 5.4-inch screen are expected. The largest aircraft is only expected a month later by Kuo.
